We are looking to secure the services of an experienced Lead Engineer with a proven track record in engineering and project expertise relating to Low and Medium Voltage converter applications. You will be part of the engineering department as lead engineer for urban transportation projects using ABB TOSA technology. In this role you provide the technical lead and coordination for all engineering activities during tender and project execution. You will ensure that technical tasks related to the project are cost effectively executed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. You will collaborate during site activities with technical support for commissioning and start-up. Working in close cooperation with Sales and Tender Management, you will support during tender providing full technical solution (system definition, sizing calculation, bill of materials, technical specifications, assessment of sub-suppliers´ offer, engineering cost estimation) according to customer technical specifications. We are looking for an experienced and motivated engineer to join our team in Genève, Switzerland.

Tasks
- Technical Lead of Electrical Design & Engineering for urban transportation projects with wayside power converter feeding stations (ABB TOSA technology)
-Responsibility for the definition of power supply system architecture with number, sizing and location of bus wayside feeding stations by using ABB simulation tool, during tender phase. Preparation of technical specifications and verification of supplier’s offers
-Overall responsibility for managing and leading all engineering activities of the assigned TOSA project, during execution
-Instruct, supervise & coordinate engineering project team within internal, external partners (i.e. bus manufacturer) and sub-suppliers in close cooperation with Project Manager
-Lead & attend discussions with customers, handle site queries and take necessary actions
-Support service team after project completion with troubleshooting
-Cooperate with R&D team for the development of TOSA solution

Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
-Minimum 5 year of experience in engineering including power converters drive for transportation or industrial applications
-Strong experience in secondary engineering and PLC software programming
-Fluency in English and French, other languages are an advantage
-Proactive, result-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills as well as reliability and ability to work under pressure
-Skilled communicator who can interface with numerous external and internal parties and stakeholders at all levels in a multi-cultural environment
-Ability to travel 20% of the time worldwide with longer period during testing and commissioning phase
