As European Product Manager - Veterinary, your key responsibility will be to manage your product portfolio as well as service offering and value proposition for our commercial partners, as our business continues to focus on expanding our market coverage and working with new clients. You'll play a central role in developing and driving the segment strategy as well as helping the European Region achieve the desired financial performance through comprehensive and timely market development, portfolio management and execution of key marketing programs. You will strive to maintain expert market knowledge in terms of quantitative data (e.g. market data, market trends, competitor pricing) and qualitative data (e.g. customer needs, competitor activities, plans, technologies and applications), which you will share with the European and Global Marketing Teams, as well as recommending suitable actions to maximise opportunities and minimise potential threats to the business. You will also support the implementation of the European product portfolio strategies including pricing, positioning and product promotion in conjunction with the country product managers, develop market specific strategies and tactics while providing clear direction on the relevant value and product positioning to drive category share gains and ensure that ensure that our business unit is well positioned for success. Other key responsibilities include : * Being the industry expert for all technology related environment needs * Supporting the Field Sales team with product information, technical expertise and contributing to product training initiatives as appropriate * Analysing customer needs and business challenges and recommending the appropriate future product and service directions to the European Business * Analysing potential partnerships and opportunities with third party vendors * Developing pricing strategies in accordance with the overall company objectives and goals * Conducting regular customer visits to develop awareness of the key market requirements as well as customer unmet needs * Collaborating and working effectively with the European marketing team to ensure strategic alignment and the cross-functional teams, such as, clinical, regulatory, supply chain and manufacturing * Contributing effectively to a cross-business projects, as appropriate

To deliver the growth we're looking for a Degree-level professional with a significant marketing track record within the healthcare sector and/or veterinary environment, encapsulating progressive achievements across a multi-discipline environment. Preferably with experience of European marketing, you're strong on strategy and particularly on product launches. Your robust capacity for analysis and synthesis complements your commitment to ensuring input from sources across a complex, consensual and multicultural matrix organization. You also have: * Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills as well as being creative and solutions-oriented * The ability to work autonomously and to be "hands-on" * Good PC-literacy in MS Office * Excellent all-round communication and influencing skills at all levels, with the ability to get things done without direct authority A flexible team player, prepared to work away from home regularly, you'll be involved in international travel on a frequent basis - approximately 20 to 40%. So any foreign language skills would be an advantage.

This is a great learning opportunity as you will need to be both very hands-on and able to contribute on a tactical and strategic level, e.g for new product development.
